Robert C. Green, 80, of Butler passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Butler, the son of the late Edward Jacob and Estella (Renforth) Green.
Bob was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War
He retired from Armco as a locomotive engineer after 43 years of service. He was a member of Lyndora Legion Post 778, VFW
Post 249 and the Butler County Law Enforcement Association.
Bob loved cooking and going to his camp. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mary L. "Renie" (McEvoy) Green; his two daughters, Colleen (Kurt) Rosander of Wexford, and Kathleen Nevel of Butler; his four sons, Robert J. (Laura) Green of Butler, Joseph G. (Pam Curry) Green of Fenelton, Timothy J. (Michelle) Green of Butler, and Daniel J. (Rebecca) Green of Butler; his 13 grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Evelyn Gamble and Margaret Frie, both of Butler.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, William Green; his two sisters; and his brother.
Green - The friends of Robert C. Green, who passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Young Funeral Home, Butler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
Military honors will be at the church by American Legion Post 778 and VFW Post 249. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
