Robert E. Best, 73, of Licking Township, Clarion County, died of natural causes at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at his home.
Born in Richburg, N.Y., Feb. 1, 1932, he was the son of Jasper J. Best and Mabel Black.
He is the last remaining member of his immediate family.
Mr. Best served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Glass Containers in Parker for several years and retired as a construction inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He then owned and operated the Happy Hour Bar & Restaurant in Parker for several years.
He was a Protestant.
BEST - Friends of Robert E. Best, who died Thursday, July 14, 2005, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held Monday at St. Petersburg Cemetery, Clarion County.
