Robert F. Schroth
Robert F. Schroth, 85, of Old Route 422, Fenelton, passed from this life to the next early Sunday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Schroth was born in Connellsville on Dec. 8, 1927. He was the son of Frank and Nioma Lynch Schroth.
He was a 1944 graduate of Butler High School. Bob served on the board of the Central Electric Co-op for 20 years. He was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.
He owned and operated White's Garage in Fenelton for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Inspection Association and had served as a Clearfield Township supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice R. Oesterling Schroth. The couple had been married for 55 years.
Bob enjoyed farming and working with his Farmall tractors.

veteran of World War II
Mr. Schroth was a mason and belonged to the William H. Miller Masonic Lodge 769 F&AM in New Castle.
He is survived by three children, Kenneth P. Schroth and his wife, Carol, Kathleen S. Raible and her husband, Earnest Michael, and Traci M. Haid and her husband, Edward, all of Fenelton; eight grandchildren, Courtney and Crystal Schroth, Trevor, Aaron, Zachery and Mackenzie Raible and Amber and Colton Haid, all of Fenelton; and two great-grandchildren, Jaedyn and Elijah Raible of Dayton. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Schroth was preceded in death by a sister, Irene McDivitt.
SCHROTH - Friends of Robert F. Schroth, who died Sunday, May 19, 2013, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Brewer, pastor of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be at the St. John Cemetery in Coylesville.
Military honors will be provided by the Chicora and Brady's Bend American Legion posts and the Chicora VFW
