Robert Paul Jordan
Robert Paul Jordan, 59, of Tionesta, Pa., formerly of East Brady and New Bethlehem, Pa., peacefully passed away Wednesday at his home following an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 22, 1953, in Butler, he was the son of Walter George and Laura Jane Ferguson Jordan of East Brady.
He was a 1972 graduate of East Brady High School. After graduation, "Bob" enlisted in the U.S. Navy
at the storekeeper rank. His tenured service from September 1972 to October 1992 included time at RTC Orlando, Fla., SKA San Diego, Calif., Commissioned USS William Pratt Charleston, S.C., NAS Willow Grove, Willow Grove, Pa., Naval Station Adak, Alaska, NAVCRUDIST Columbus, Ohio, Fletracen NSC Norfolk, Va., Commissioned USS Sphinx ARL 24 Little Creek, Va., NAS Keflavik, Iceland, Naval Station, Mayport, Fla., and NAS Bermuda.
He retired as a senior chief petty officer.
Following his time with the Navy, he served 14 years working at the Clarion County Courthouse as a bailiff and deputy court administrator.
Robert was married on May 31, 1975, to the former Jacqueline "Jackie" J. Hepler, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 1, 2013.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, athletic events, and enjoying the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three sons, Kevin Jordan and Amy Salsgiver of Glen Campbell, Lee and Lauren Jordan of Harrisburg, and Dan and Kristin Jordan of Clarion. Additionally, he is survived by his four sisters, Georgiann and Thomas McClaine Sr. of New Bethlehem, Linda Boyle of Clarion, Vickie and Richard Culberston of Rimersburg, and Barbara "Will" Jordan of Chicora; one brother, David and Louise Jordan of East Brady; and a grandson, Kemmer Jordan of Glen Campbell.
JORDAN - The family of Robert Paul Jordan, who passed away Wednesday April 24, 2013, will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood St., Clarion.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Following services, military honors will be accorded at the Rimersburg Cemetery by the Rimersburg VFW
Post 7132 and American Legion Post 454. Interment will be in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
