Samuel F. Holfman, 77, of Fenelton passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Butler on March 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Ralph F. and Mary Alice Jardin Holfman.
He was a retired dispatcher for North Pittsburgh Telephone Company, where he was employed for 30 years.
A veteran of the Korean War
, he served in the U.S. Air Force
He was a member of Homeacre Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Eva J. Taylor Holfman, who he was married to for 52 years; his two daughters, Dawn Strobel and her husband, Kevin, of Fenelton and Susan Leonberg of Portersville; and his two sons, Sam Holfman and his wife, Kathy, of Slippery Rock and Peter Holfman and his wife, Becky, of Cape Coral, Fla. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Shawn, Kari and Steven Strobel, Thomas and Hannah Holfman, Levi and Loran Leonberg and John and Joe Holfman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dick Holfman.
Holfman - The friends of Samuel F. Holfman, who passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, will be received at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday.
The funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. David Fisher, pastor of Homeacre Chapel, officiating.
Burial will take place in Summit Presbyterian Cemetery.
