Shirley A. Shay Abreu
Shirley Ann Shay Abreu, 69, of Kissimmee, Fla., died Feb. 15 in Florida.
Born Sept. 12, 1936, in Bruin, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Bernice Swank.
Shirley was a member of the Bowe Gardens Church in Melbourne, Fla. She also was a member of the Woman's Bowling Association and enjoyed playing cards.
Mrs. Abreu had been a senior packer at Glass Containers in Parker.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kelly Lynn Cartechine of Melbourne; two sons, Scott Lee Shay of Jacksonville, Fla., and Bradley Carl Shay of St. Cloud, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Shay, whom she married Dec. 28, 1958; and her second husband, Robert Abreu, whom she married June 25, 1983, and who died Dec. 23, 1986. A brother, Ed Swank, also preceded her in death.
ABREU - Friends of Shirley Ann Shay Abreu, who died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Dave West, pastor of the GraceWay Community Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Perryville Cemetery, Clarion County.
