Working with GTE-Sylvania, he designed computer equipment and created programs for the implementation of computers with telephones. He retired from GTE-Sylvania in Needham.
While in Needham, he was a Democratic town committee member. He also was a member and past president of the Needham Lions Club and received many awards from Lions International including the Melvin Jones Fellow Award.
