Lt. Col. Robert J. Zangas
Lt. Col. Robert J. Zangas, USMC Reserve, 44, of Level Green, Westmoreland County, died March 9, 2004, south of Baghdad, Iraq, while working for the Coalition Provisional Authority under the Department of Defense.
He was a sales person for several companies, most recently with Quest Software.
He served during Operation Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Huffman Zangas, formerly of Butler; his children, Shannon, Scott and Jacob; and his father, Lt. Col. Charles Zangas of San Diego, Calif.
Also surviving are siblings Kathy Stovicek (Larry) of Gaithersburg, Md., Patti Black (Keith) of Woodbridge, Va., John Zangas of Washington, D.C., and Cassandra Vallery (Cotton) of Fayetteville, N.C.; and his father's wife, Anne of San Diego.
His mother, Nancy Zangas, preceded him in death.
ZANGAS - Friends of Lt. Col. Robert J. Zangas, USMC Reserve, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME, 602 Seventh St. (Route 130), Trafford. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday at Level Green Presbyterian Church, with full military honors. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Robert J.
