Ronald Bartlett
Ronald Emory Bartlett, 63, of Cranberry Township passed away Friday while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born Jan. 28, 1949, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Jones) Bartlett.
Ron proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He recently retired from the University of Pittsburgh after 26 years of dedicated service. In addition, he was a member of the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his adoring wife of 42 years, Lynn (Gorley) Bartlett, who he married on June 5, 1971; his two loving sons, Ryan Bartlett and his wife, Crystal, and Jared Bartlett and his wife, Jill; seven grandchildren; his two sisters, Darlene Bartlett Hooks and Janet Wright; his parents-in-law, Evelyn (Gorley) and Harry White; his sisters-in-law, Donna Bartlett and Janet Micaletti and her husband, Ronald; his brothers-in-law, Michael Lawrence, Mark Gorley and his wife, Peggy, and Scott Gorley and his wife, Tina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Claire Gorley Jr.; his three brothers, Dale Humphrey, LaVerne Bartlett and Robert Bartlett and his two sisters, Doris Humphrey and Caroline Lawrence.
BARTLETT- Ron's family will welcome friends of Ron Bartlett, who passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
A funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Moran officiating. Ron will be laid to rest with military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.
