Sharon Ann Giesey, 64, of Fort Mill, S.C., formerly of Saxonburg, died Friday in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Oct. 1, 1948, in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of Richard Gray and Rojeanne Rossiter Gray.
Sharon graduated from Slippery Rock University and was a teacher at Knoch Middle School.
She married Paul Giesey on Dec. 26, 1991, who was the love and the light of her life. After retiring in 2009, Sharon moved to South Carolina, where she lived life to the fullest.
Surviving her are her mother, Rojeanne Gray of Pineville, N.C.; her children, Jon (Staci) Dylewski of Franklin Park, Pa., Maggie Dylewski of Boston, Mass., and Sarah (Pat) Powers of Charlotte, N.C.; her grandsons, Joseph Dylewski, Alex Dylewski and Nathan Powers; her stepchildren, Mitchell Giesey of Pittsburgh and Christopher (Amy) Giesey of Martinsburg, W.Va.; her sisters, Roberta Gray of Gibsonia, Pa., and Carole (John) Nelson of Fort Mill, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul Giesey; her granddaughter, Ally Susan Powers; her sister, Susan Argall; and her father, Richard Gray.
GIESEY - Funeral services and burial for Sharon Ann Giesey, who died Friday, April 26, 2013, will be private for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Presbyterian Church, 7520 Charlotte Hwy., Indian Land, SC 29707. "Sharon Giesey Memorial" can be put in the memo line.
