William 'Willy' Fair
William "Willy" E. Fair, 75, of Butler died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 6, 1938, in Butler, he was the son of the late Howard A. and Margaret Reott F. Fair.
He was the husband of Mary "Cathy" Lang Fair, whom he married June 26, 1965.
He worked for Armstrong Utilities as an installer for nine years. He previously worked in the Bulk Mail Center in Warrendale for 12 years.
He was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian. He was also a member of American Legion Post 852 in Harrisville.
Willy especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and spoiling his dog "Maddie." He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and feeding the birds and squirrels.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, William E. (Jean) Fair II of Butler and Kenneth P. (Karen Ann) Fair of Chicora; one daughter, Mrs. Daelene (Wayne) Rodgers of Butler; two grandsons, Vincent Rodgers and his fiance, Melanie Prelec, and Christopher Rodgers; one granddaughter, Kenzie Fair; two sisters, Laura Halford of Alabama and Dusty Wiant of New Bethlehem and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
FAIR - Friends of William "Willy" E. Fair, who died Saturday, July 27, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St, Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian. Internment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
