Dorothy M. Kingsley, 94, of Butler passed away Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries Hospice.

Born April 7, 1919, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Cleo (Critchlow) Miller.
She was a 1937 graduate of Butler High School and a 1941 graduate of Mercy Hospital, Altoona, as a registered nurse. She did private duty at Butler Memorial Hospital. She also worked for Dr. Donald Fox and later for the Miller-Kingsley Insurance Agency.
She was an associate member of Butler Nurses Alumni and a lifetime member of the Tanglewood Center. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving are two sons, Michael W. (Sharon) Kingsley of Maryland and Patrick (Jacque) Kingsley of Butler; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Sheila Kingsley of Maine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kingsley, who passed away April 8, 1973; two sons, David and James Kingsley; one grandson; two sisters; and her stepmother.
KINGSLEY - Friends of Dorothy M. Kingsley, who died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Herman.
