Ralph T. Jones, 86, of Mars passed away Wednesday morning at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh Jan. 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Henry P. and Mary Devona Hayes Jones.
Ralph had been a dairy farmer for over 50 years in Mars. He also drove a school bus for the Mars School District and was a milk inspector for Marburger Dairy. He belonged to the Butler County Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.
He was an active member of St. Kilian Church, where he had served on Parish Council, was in the Men's Club and counted collections. He also belonged to the Mars Kiwanis Club, Mars Historical Society, Mars AARP and delivered meals for South Butler Community Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are his wife, Esther Hollenberger Jones, who he married Aug. 24, 1957; six daughters, Ruth Trumbetta (Don) of Jeannette, Esther Seebacher (Bill) of Slippery Rock, Shirley Lawther (Jeff) of Mars, Becky Tyson (Dave) of Slippery Rock, Janet Gilson (Bob) of Economy Boro, and Rosemarie Streb (Scott) of Mars; his grandchildren, Tom Trumbetta, Bill Seebacher, Jr., and Diane Bundy (Jared), Matthew (Stacy), Christopher and Jonathan Lawther, Emily Daley (Charlie), Amanda Priscilla (Colton), Rebecca McConnell (Chad), Elizabeth, Carissa, and Ashley Gilson, and Alyssa and Stephanie Streb; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Molinaro of Valencia; three sisters-in-law, Rita, Ruth and Esther Jones; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Jones, Robert Jones, Richard Jones, Ross Jones, Mabel Gordon, Raymond Jones and Rusty Jones.
Jones - Friends of Ralph T. Jones, who passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, will be received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Kilian Church, corner of Clark and Cherry streets, Mars. Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of St. Kilian Church, to the Mars Historical Society or to South Butler Community Meals on Wheels.
