Born Sept. 22, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Barbara (Jozan) Gaal.
A Protestant, Bert was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople.
A graduate of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, she enjoyed aiding others as an LPN at the Vincentian Home for more than 30 years.

She loved flower gardening, completing word searches, purchasing from the Home Shopping Network, and making arts and crafts. Later in her life, Bert developed a profound love for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt who will be dearly missed.

Cinci and his wife, Carol, of Freedom, and Dianne Aaron of Zelienople; her 10 grandchildren, Robbie, Christina, Natalie, Brian, Christopher, Samantha, Angie, Andrea, Alexandria, and Billy; her 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bert was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William A. Cinci Sr., who she married Sept. 4, 1941, and who passed away May 17, 1992; her daughter, Judy Peffer; her granddaughter, Sharon Cinci; her three sisters, Elizabeth Gaal, Ida Kanzleiter and Helen Hussar, and her two brothers, Eugene Gaal and Joseph Lawrence.
