K. George Hoover, 82, of Butler passed away Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born to the late Kenneth and Crescentia (Schaffner) Hoover.
George attended St. Peter's Catholic School and was a 1949 graduate of Butler High School. He then went on to DeForest Tech in Chicago.
George served in the U.S. Army Security Agency. He retired in 1993 from Magnetics, East Butler, where he worked as an engineer.
George is survived by his wife, Deborah (Cumberland) Hoover; his two daughters, Marion T. Hoover and JoEllen Macko; his grandson, Jacob L. Hoover, and his sister, Mary Esther Wood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, James L. Hoover and John M. Hoover.
Hoover- There will be no public visitation or service for K. George Hoover, who passed away Monday, April 7, 2014.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
