Gregory J. Davanzati, 39, of Butler passed away Saturday at his home of natural causes.

Born in Fort Campbell, Ky., on Dec. 28, 1974, he was the son of Shirley A. Bowser Davanzati DeSantis and the late James Davanzati.
He was formerly employed at Signs by Rick, Shockey Excavating and Classic Signs.
He attended Crossfire at the First United Methodist Church.
Greg was an avid fisherman and poker player, and also enjoyed doing woodworking. He especially loved his dog, Benny.
He is survived by his fiancee, Shelley Ehrman of Butler; his father and mother, Oliver "Tom" and Shirley A. DeSantis of Butler; his son, Cody Davanzati of Butler; his daughter, Emma Davanzati of Butler; his grandmother, Lois Davanzati of Butler; and his two sisters, Nicole DeSantis of Butler and Kristen DeSantis of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, James Davanzati; his maternal grandparents, Dean and Angeline Bowser; and his paternal grandfather, Enrico "Rick" Davanzati.
Davanzati - The friends of Gregory J. Davanzati, who passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, will be received at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Pat Nelson of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in Saint Michael's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
