Thelma V. Bergbigler, 81, of Cabot passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.
Born on Nov. 19, 1932, in Karns City, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary (Avenel) Andre.
She was a graduate of Karns City High School. Thelma was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, where she was involved with the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company, where she was an EMT and ambulance driver.
Thelma enjoyed helping people and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Douglas (Mary Ellen) Bergbigler of Cabot, Gerald C. (Donna) Bergbigler of Butler and Samuel Bergbigler of Cabot; her daughters, Patty Jo (David) Erceg of Natrona Heights, Deby (Bob) Dicello of Gaithersburg, Md., and Marysue (Herb) Hitchens of Saxonburg; her grandchildren, Douglas Stephen, Shawn Michael, Deela, Deanna, Danielle and Devin; and her great-granddaughters, Emma Rose and Ella Sue.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Bergbigler; her three brothers; her sister; her infant daughter; and her infant grandchild.
Bergbigler - The friends of Thelma V. Bergbigler, who passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ward Stakem, OFM Cap., officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Herman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
