Helen Wasilk, 83, of Butler passed away Monday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born on May 8, 1930, in Lyndora, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine Sychak Wasilk.
She worked as a reservations agent for Northwest Orient Airlines for 43 years.
She was an active member of the Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters.
Wasilk - The friends of Helen Wasilk, who passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, will be received at theGeibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen St., Lyndora, with the Rev. Paisius McGrath, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Butler.
A Parastas service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
