Richard L. "Dick" Wilson, 67, of Harmony passed away peacefully Wednesday surrounded by his family.
Born Nov. 1, 1946, in Zelienople, he was the son of Helen (Rape) Staggers and the late LaVerne Wilson.
Dick was a 1964 graduate of Zelienople High School.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Dick retired from Xylem Leopold Inc. on March 28, 2014, as an engineering supervisor after 50 years of service.
He was a longtime active member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474, where he proudly served on the Color Guard, was a member of the post pool league and played Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He also served on the Scholarship Committee for the Legion.
Dick enjoyed being a member of the Evans City Sportsman's Club and the Harmony Moose 957. During his free time, he loved playing pool, fishing, hunting, golfing and bird watching. But above all, Dick will be most remembered as a loving husband, father, pappy, son, brother and friend.
In addition to his mother, Dick leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years, Deb (Nail) Wilson; his two loving daughters, Colleen Wilson and Anne (Michael) Piddington; his loving stepson, John (Tina) Herold; his three sisters, Betty Lee (Jack) Milson, Karen Lash and Lori (Dan) Campbell; his five beloved grandchildren, Jenna, Vannessa, Julianna, Carollin and Noah; the mother of his two daughters, Carol Wilson; his parents-in-law, Tom and Dorothy Nail; his four brothers-in-law, Chuck (Louann) Nail, Tom (Linda) Nail, Scott (Sandy) Nail and John (Robin) Nail; his two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Ron) Allison and Tammy (Rob) Muron; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two special furry friends, Wilson and Daisy.
