Helen G. Vandevort, a loving and faithful servant with a great sense of humor, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday.

Born on Sept. 19, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marian (Jones) Griggle.
Helen was the wife of the late Clair W. Vandevort, who she married on Sept. 29, 1950, and who passed away on Jan. 7, 2010.
She is survived by her three daughters, Dianne (Lee) Gebrosky, Denise Street and Donna (Martin) Lample; her three sons, Dale (Maureen) Vandevort, Dallas (Deborah) Vandevort and Dean (Shannon) Vandevort; her three brothers; her two sisters; her 14 grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two grandsons, Jacob Lample and Jason Gebrosky, and 11 siblings.
Helen was a longtime member of the Camp Run Free Methodist Church, the Camp Run Community Church, and more recently was an active member of the Camp Run United Presbyterian Church in Fombell. She held many offices in the Women's Missionary Society, was a secretary and treasurer of the Sunday school and the Community Church, and was a kitchen helper at Keenager's in Portersville.
She greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, and yard sales, but above all, spending time with her family.
Vandevort- The friends of Helen G. Vandevort, who passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A funeral ceremony will be in Helen's honor at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Andrew Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.
