Gertrude M. Christy, 82, of Butler passed away Monday at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on July 10, 1931, in Butler to the late Francis Lewis and Julia (Eppinger) Lewis.
Mrs. Christy worked as a supervisor at the Pine Haven Personal Care Home, retiring in 2002.
She was a member of the East Butler Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Christy enjoyed camping and fishing and loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Christy is survived by her husband, Richard L. Christy, who she married on Oct. 26, 1949; her two sons, Richard C. Christy, and Brian L. Christy and his wife, Sharon, both of Butler; her daughter, Debra D. Panei and her husband, James, of Butler; her eight grandchildren; her two step-grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Zella McAnallen of New Castle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Christy - There will be no public visitation for Gertrude M. Christy, who passed away Monday, June 2, 2014.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. June 25 at the East Butler Presbyterian Church, Randolph Avenue, East Butler, with the Rev. Mary J. Kitchen officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by theThompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Private burial was in the North Butler Cemetery of Oakland Township.
