Patricia J. Hoover, 75, of Chicora, formerly of Butler and West Sunbury, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Pat was born on March 25, 1939, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late George Shanor Deal and Violet Simmers Thompson Deal.
She was a homemaker and supervisor at Worthington Baptist Academy and secretary for the Homeacre Chapel.
Pat sang barbershop music with the Greater Harmony Chorus for 13 years. She sang in church solos and duets and also in the choir at the Slippery Rock Baptist Church, where she was a member.
Pat is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Diana) Moore of Chicora, and Mrs. Daniel (Cynthia) Robinson of Cranberry, Venango County; a son, David Hoover of Chicora; seven grandchildren, and four great-granddaughters. Her sister, Mrs. Shirley Shook of Butler, and two brothers, George F. Deal and Vernon Deal, both of Butler, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hoover, who died on April 16, 2011; two sons; two sisters, and six brothers.
Hoover - The family and friends of Patricia J. Hoover, who passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. David Fisher of the Homeacre Chapel officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Cemetery.
