Margaret M. Critchlow Mathers, 86, of Tennessee passed away Wednesday.

She was born on March 11, 1928, to the late Greer and Edith Critchlow on the farm in Cherry Township, which is now the Moniteau school.
She graduated from West Sunbury High School Class of 1945, then attended part-time and night classes to earn an accounting degree.
She organized and operated the Western Pennsylvania Business School in the early 1960s. She worked mainly in the automotive field as comptroller for Bob Delancey Lincoln Mercury of Pittsburgh and Trostle Oldsmobile of Butler. After retirement at age 62, she continued to work as an associate with Richard J. Karas, a CPA firm, for the past 22 years.
Most recently, she was treasurer for the National Spay Neuter Now Foundation Inc.
She is survived by her three Critchlow brothers, Robert (Carmella) in South Carolina, Paul (Phyllis) in Butler and George (Shirley) in Florida; her sister, Luella (Dale) Weigle in Valencia; her 11 nieces; and her nine nephews. She is also survived by her life-long high school friend of 70 years, Ruth Smith, of Elizabethton, Tenn., and her close friends, Tim and Terri Campbell of Elizabethton, Tenn., Carol and Hap Burns of Butler, Patty Buss of Renfrew and Cindy and Jim DeBold of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Bruce.
She enjoyed her home in Tennessee, refinishing furniture, watching the birds around her backyard fountain and working with the flowers and landscaping.
Mathers - Services and burial for Margaret M. Critchlow Mathers, who passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, will be at the convenience of the family.
She will be laid to rest next to her parents in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Moniteau, which overlooks the farm where she was born.
