Virginia "Ginny" Lee Tipton, 89, of Butler passed away Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospice.
She was born on July 2, 1924, in Holidays Cove, W.Va., the daughter of the late Bernard and Bonnie (Hodge) Garrison.
Ginny married her high school sweetheart, John "Tip" Tipton, in 1942. They had 68 happy and active years together. They spent many happy years in the Butler area, managing a KOA campground in Bradford for 10 years and spending their retirement years traveling the United States and enjoying the Ft. Myers, Fla., area.
Virginia had a positive attitude and never spoke badly of others. She was hard-working, loyal and organized. She managed a household of sons who always had clean clothes and good meals. She must have attended hundreds of baseball games when her sons were young and was always their biggest fan.
