Evelyn M. Stutz, 89, of Butler died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Ivywood, Clinton Township, on April 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Jennings Wood and Mildred Leola Walker Wood.
She worked as an operator for Bell Telephone, and later she was employed at Murphy's Mart. Evelyn was a member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
She is survived by three sons, Rodney Stutz of Butler, Ronald Stutz of Cabot and Kevin Stutz and his wife, Gina, of Butler; two daughters, Lauren Roy and her husband, Jerry, of Butler and Susan Snyder and her husband, William, of Boyers; one brother, Richard Wood of Hemet, Calif.; and two sisters, Doris Whittingstall of Butler and Jane Romano of Zephyr Hills, Fla. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph F. Stutz, who passed away April 26, 2000; one son, Gregory L. Stutz, who passed away April 10, 2014; and one brother, Robert Wood.
STUTZ - Friends of Evelyn M. Stutz, who died Friday, July 4, 2014, will be received at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, with the Rev. Mark Pattock, O.F.M., Cap. officiating.
Burial will take place in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
