H. Marie Crispin Covert, 96, of Butler passed away at 6 a.m. Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1917, in Butler to the late Everett Crispin and Elizabeth Rider Crispin.
Mrs. Covert was a homemaker and a member of the Butler Chapter of 45 Order of Easter Star. She was the oldest and a charter member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, where she belonged to the Tuesday Service group.
Mrs. Covert is survived by her two sons, Clarence L. Covert of Butler, and Raymond W. Covert III and his wife, Gloria, of Butler; her grandson, Raymond Wade Covert IV; her great-grandson, Raymond Wade Covert V; her stepgranddaughter, Dusty Gilliland; her stepgrandson, Travis Flinner; her five step-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wade Covert, who she married on May 30, 1939, and who passed away on Sept. 13, 1990; her two sisters, and her brother.
Covert - There will be no public visitation for H. Marie Crispin Covert, who passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, 420 N. Main St., Butler, with Pastor Daniel Ledford officiating. Burial will take place in the North Side Cemetery.
