Stanley M. Pittavino
Stanley M. Pittavino, 52, of Eden Way Court, Cranberry Township, died Friday at UPMC Presbyterian following injuries sustained in a bicycling accident Wednesday.
Born July 25, 1956, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late John Pittavino, who died in 1971, and Mabel Anne Bowen Pittavino of Zelienople.
He was a graduate of Yough High School and LaRoche College. Stanley met his wife, Jeanne Jackson of Wampum, while at LaRoche, and the two married in 1978.
Stanley, an accomplished graphic artist, worked at the former First Impression Printing for more than 16 years.
He was a member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople
Stanley was a devoted husband and father who loved to travel, appreciated the arts and enjoyed photography. He was an avid bicyclist and a dedicated fan of all Pittsburgh professional sports teams.
In addition to his wife, Jeanne Pittavino, and his mother, he is survived by three sons, Gregory, Anthony and Michael Pittavino, all at home; a sister, Suzanne Weigner of Sterling, Alaska; two brothers, Rodney Pittavino of North Huntingdon and Bentley Pittavino of Hookstown; and an extended list of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
PITTAVINO - Visiting hours for Stanley M. Pittavino, who died Friday, June 26, 2009, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Father Robert M. Miller, of St. Gregory and the Rev. Tony Fallisi, of the Dutilh United Methodist Church, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pittavino Scholarship Fund, c/o Fidelity Bank, 251 S. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063.
