Patricia 'Pat' Yates
Patricia "Pat" Yates, 77, of Harrisburg passed away Tuesday in Frey Village, Lutheran Home.
Formerly of Irwin and Butler, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Pat was active in the Democratic Party and was a devoted fan of her beloved Steelers and Penguins.
She retired from Nationwide Insurance.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Yates of Harrisburg; her children, Lynda Moreno of Camp Hill, Laurel Yates, David Yates and Michelle Mortimer of Harrisburg and Cheryl Yates of Reading; her grandchildren, Melissa Moreno of Doylestown, Manny Moreno of Butler and Julie Cramer, Dave Yates, Beth Yates, Hillary Hanwell and Emily Hanwell of Harrisburg; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Balin and Brydon of Doylestown and Emma and Grace of Butler; her brother, Richard Strojan of Irwin; and her sister, Carol DeTriquet of Chesapeake, Va.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Yates; and her parents, Joseph and Josephine Strojan of Irwin.
YATES - A funeral service for Patricia "Pat" Yates, who died Tuesday. Jan. 11, 2011, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg, with the Rev. Daniel Powell officiating. A viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Shoop's Garden of Rest, Harrisburg.
