Mae Bonsall Kiester
Mae Bonsall Kiester, 96, of Butler Township, wife of the late Judge George P. Kiester, passed away Tuesday at her home.
She was born Oct. 7, 1914, in Marcus Hook, Delaware County, the daughter of the late William H. and Martha (Favinger) Bonsall.
After graduating with the honors group from Temple University, she taught civics and history before moving to Slippery Rock with her husband.
Mae was quiet, dignified, caring and multitalented. She loved to read and belonged to many clubs and organizations over the years.
She is survived by three children, Carol (Wallace) Loza of New Jersey, Diane Dildine of Maryland and Philip (Pat Ryan) Kiester of Texas, and AFS son Franz (Margit) Munch of Germany; 10 grandchildren, Andy (Kate) Loza, Stephanie (Matthew) Petzold, Jennifer (Jack Wagner), Heather (John) Forde, Chris Loza, Matthew (Bao-Li) Loza, Holly, Joseph and Alica Loza and Patrick Dildine; 12 great-grandchildren; and her longtime friends, Lisa Graham, Vickie Gray and Danny Mottern.
Also preceding her in death along with her parents and husband were two daughters, Marilyn Ross and Cynthia Kiester; and a great-grandson.
KIESTER - As per the wishes of Mae Bonsall Kiester, who died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, there will be no services.
Contributions may be made in memory of Mae to a charity of the donor's choice.
