Evelyn Duncan, 93, of 400 Levis Road, Portersville, passed away at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday in the Ellwood City Hospital.
Ms. Duncan was born Sept. 5, 1917, in Portersville to the late Alfred B. Duncan and Leah F. Gallaher Duncan.
She graduated from Portersville High School in 1935 and was Presbyterian by faith.
Evelyn worked on the assembly line at the National Electric Co. in Ambridge for 28 years. She then worked as a housekeeper for various families and helped on her family's farm in Portersville.
In her free time, Evelyn really enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include one sister, Marge Cirelli with whom she lived; and several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mable Clancy; and four brothers, George Edward Duncan, William L. Duncan, John Duncan and Alfred Duncan.
DUNCAN - Visitation for Evelyn Duncan, who died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
