Dorothy C. Goepfert
Dorothy C. Goepfert, 91, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
Born Oct. 7, 1921, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Lillian Birckbichler.
A homemaker, Dorothy was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church and the Jefferson Grange. She enjoyed playing cards, baking and cooking.
Surviving are her daughter, Lois (James) Rankin of Saxonburg; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin W. Goepfert Sr., who she married July 22, 1940, and who passed away Jan. 3, 1978; two sons, Richard H. Goepfert Sr. and Franklin W. Goepfert Jr.; a daughter, Sarah Braden; and 10 brothers and sisters.
GOEPFERT - Friends of Dorothy C. Goepfert, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating. Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot, PA 16023, or to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
