Lorraine Ann Pry Snyder
Lorraine Ann Pry Snyder, 74, of West Sunbury passed away at 8:23 a.m. Wednesday at her home with her family at her side.
Lorraine was born June 30, 1938, in Latrobe, Pa. She was the daughter of the late James Russell Pry and the late Flavia Elizabeth Bridge Pry.
She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Parish. She was a 1956 graduate of Moniteau High School, and before her marriage, had worked at the Pry Home, which her mother had established. Lorraine loved bowling, singing, puzzles, being outside, and, most of all, her family.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Vance L. "Tim" Snyder, who she married Sept. 14, 1963: two daughters, Theresa M. McCaslin and her husband, Mark, of West Sunbury and Eileen M. Barry and her husband, Steve, of Butler; two sons, James P. Snyder and George R. Snyder and his wife, Vanessa, both of West Sunbury; and nine grandchildren, Craig (Krista) McCaslin, Patrick McCaslin, Maura McCaslin, Rachel Barry, Nathan Barry, Jennifer Barry, Shayla Snyder, Krista Snyder and Nicholas Snyder.
Also surviving are her three sisters, Mrs. Paul (RoseMarie) Cirillo of Hermitage, Mrs. Lawrence S. (Christine) Baptiste of West Sunbury and Mrs. Joseph (Eileen) Motonis, also of West Sunbury; four brothers, Gerald (Ellen) Pry of West Sunbury, George D. (Carol) Pry of Butler and twins, John P. (Jackie) Pry of West Sunbury and George (Barbara) Pry of Pittsburgh; one sister-in-law, Annie C. Pry of Cowansville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James R. Pry Jr., and one nephew.
SNYDER - Friends of Lorraine Ann Pry Snyder, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Louis Catholic Church with Father James Bedillion of the St. Alphonsus Parish officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
