Marian E. Gold, 92, of Chicora, formerly of Saxonburg Road, Butler, passed away Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Chicora Medical Center.
She was born April 24, 1920, in Butler to the late Clarence Renfrew and Laura (Bartley) Renfrew.
Mrs. Gold was the oldest member of the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Gold is survived by two sons, Ronald C. Gold and his wife, Kay, of Butler and Harry L. Gold and his wife, Luella, of Butler; seven grandchildren, William Gold and his friend, Colleen, Lea Ann Donnel and her husband, Todd, Ronald Gold and his friend, Diane, Mary Dennis and her husband, Bob, Lisa Ulrich and her husband, Joe, Barbara LeGrand and her friend, Ron, and Becky Cumberland and her husband, Randy; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy Renfrew and his wife, Delores, of Saxonburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Gold, who she married on July 24, 1930, and who passed away in April 21, 1989; one infant son, and two brothers.
GOLD - Friends of Marian E. Gold, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, 390 Frazier Road, Saxonburg, with the Rev. James R. Steiner of the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery, Saxonburg.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, 390 Frazier Road, Saxonburg, PA 16056.
