Raymond N. "Sonny" Wyant Sr., 58, of Parker died of unexpectedly of natural causes Saturday morning at his home.
Born in Boyers, Feb. 18, 1948, he was the son of the late Arthur and Esther McFadden Wyant.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Wyant was a heavy equipment operator for Amerikohl for more than 25 years. He previously worked at the Glass Containers Corp., Parker.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Phillips Wyant, whom he married Jan. 3, 1968; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Michell) McCord of Parker; two sons, Raymond "Sonny" Jr. and Kevin "Boo" Wyant, both of Parker; and eight grandchildren.
He also is survived by three sisters, Patricia Watterson and Mrs. George (Arlene) Saye, both of Parker, and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy "Sis") Brown of West Sunbury; three brothers, Roy Wyant of Petrolia, William "Bill" Wyant of Washington Township and Robert Wyant of Parker, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wyant Sr.
WYANT - Friends of Raymond N. "Sonny" Wyant Sr., who died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be at the Parker Presbyterian Cemetery.
