SOULODRE, Alix (nee Fels)
March 4, 1949 - December 19, 2012
Alix Soulodre (nee Fels), of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the age of 63 years. Born in Roland, Manitoba on March 4, 1949 to Elsie and Alexander Fels. Alix graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Home Economics, majoring in Family Studies. She married Gerald Soulodre on April 8, 1979. Alix was a Certified Fundraising Executive with extensive knowledge in planned giving. She initiated fundraising campaigns for the Canadian Red Cross, Operation Eyesight Universal, the Calgary Zoo, and the Tom Baker Cancer Society. Alix is survived by her husband of thirty-three years, Gerald, of Calgary; and her two children, Jaime Soulodre, of Black Diamond, and Jair Soulodre, of Calgary. Funeral Services will be held at Hope Lutheran Church (3527 Boulton Road N.W.) today, December 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery (4 Street and 31 Avenue N.W.).
