It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather Bonifacio at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the age of 98 years. Bonifacio passed away peacefully with his son and daughters and grandchildren by his side. Bonifacio was born in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. He immigrated to Canada to be with his daughter Nora, first to Montreal in 1976 and then to Calgary in 1982. Tatay Bonnie is survived by his eight children: Dory of Chicago, Ill., Jun (Terry) of Duarte, Cal., Corazon, Precy and Nora (Jun) all of Calgary, Melly, Mayet (Mario) and Mining (Auring) all of the Philippines; as well as thirty-three grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren. Tatay is predeceased by his wife Felisa and his sons Renato and Honesto (Rosie). Special thanks to Dr. Dal, Dr. Alvarez and all the staff of Unit 54 of the Peter Lougheed Centre for their exceptional care. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME (Prayers will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday). Funeral Mass will be Concelebrated at St. Mark's Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Drive N.E., Calgary) on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow in the Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Mountain View Memorial Gardens. A Reception will follow at St. Mark's Catholic Church.
