HOFFINGER, Elmer Thomas

Elmer Hoffinger passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the age of 72 years. Elmer was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his parents, Pius and Elizabeth and his brother, Robert. He leaves behind his wife, Dolores, his son, Mark (Cara- Lynn) and daughter, Laura (Carlo) Bolognese. He was the loving grandfather of Christopher, Sabrina, Sarah and Connor. He is survived by one sister, Beverly (Larry) Kraft. Elmer grew up on a farm near Salvador, Saskatchewan. He moved to Calgary in 1965 and spent many years as a Respiratory Therapist. He worked at the Foothills Hospital, was an instructor at SAIT, and was also involved in private homecare. He had a great love of music and was skilled at playing the guitar and various keyboard instruments, including the accordion. His first love was always farming and the farming lifestyle. After going into semi-retirement at a relatively young age, he set up a hobby farm from the ground up near Sundre and he raised purebred Hereford Cattle. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) tomorrow, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com
