On Wednesday, November 14, 2012, Mr. Eric Pearsall passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. Eric was born and raised in London, England. He served with the R.A.F., and while stationed in Banff, he met his wife, Mary. Following the war, he immigrated to Canada, where he raised his four children in Calgary. His creative spirit resonated through his many paintings, sculptures and writings. He was a devoted dad, whose kindness and passion for people reached out to many people and touched each of their lives in many ways. Eric will be missed by his children, Patricia (Brian) Pickup, Joan (Herb) McMullen, Leslie (Teri) Pearsall, and Diane (Ted) Pomerleau; his grandchildren, Scott, Kari, Stephanie, Tim, Jennifer, Samantha, Katie, and Joe; as well as his five great- grandchildren, Sarah, Alex, Ben, Tandyn and Bentley. He was predeceased by his wife Mary. A Funeral Service will be held at LEYDEN'S Chapel of Remembrance (corner of 17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.) on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eric's memory may be made to The Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation ( ach).
