Gus DETILLIEUX

DETILLIEUX, Gaston "Gus"
Gaston Detillieux, lovingly known as Gus, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday morning December 18, 2012 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. He unexpectedly and suddenly succumbed to cancer. Born in Vonda, Saskatchewan, he lived most of his life in Calgary, Alberta. Gus was extremely loving and proud of his two children Lorraine Detillieux and Phil Detillieux and his daughter-in-law Laura LaPietra. He is also survived by his brothers Emile and Guy and his sister Simone Leblanc as well as his many loving nieces, nephews and other friends. Gus's life-long trade was a carpenter; he continued well into his 70s. He was an energetic hard working man who set out each day with the intention to put a smile on the faces of the people he encountered. He also took great pleasure in the antics of his two beloved pet dogs and enjoyed the song of the birds that took sanctuary in his esteemed backyard. He will be missed as he has touched numerous live. He will hold a special place in our hearts. The family will hold a private informal service.
