HOTCHKISS, Harley Norman July 10, 1927 - June 22, 2011 Harley Hotchkiss passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in the arms of his loving wife Rebecca with his children by his side. Harley's contributions to his community were enormous and are well documented. He loved his Calgary Flames and worked tirelessly to support our health care system. Notable among his achievements were his appointment as a Companion of The Order of Canada for his exemplary citizenship and his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame for his leadership over his twelve year term as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the NHL through very challenging times. His family was his greatest source of joy and his most special times were those spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will each miss him profoundly. Above all else, Harley treasured Rebecca, his wife of almost sixty years. His quiet confidante in matters big and small, Harley acknowledged Rebecca as the glue of the family who made possible all his life's accomplishments and successes.
