BROWN, Marnie (nee Watson)
April 17, 1936 - March 1, 2013
Margaret Anne (Marnie) Brown, beloved wife of the late William Brown, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the age of 76 years. Marnie was born and raised in Calgary and met her husband Bill Brown in Hawaii and were married on May 3, 1958 in Calgary. She worked in banking until her daughters were born. She stayed at home looking after her family for sixteen years after which she returned to work in the oil and gas industry. Marnie's life passion was her family and she enjoyed sharing their lives with her brothers and sisters and their families. The most important in life were her grandchildren, she made sure to have a bowl full of jelly beans for them when they came over. Marnie was the best Nana and her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren forever. Marnie is survived by her two daughters Jacquie Brown and Ken Clayton of Calgary and Maureen Brown and Jong Jay of Calgary; four grandchildren Isabelle and Kole Clayton (9 years and 4 years) and Sarah and Emily Brown Jay (10 months and 2 months). She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Bob and Nancy Watson, Sandra and Spencer Nichols, John and Ingrid Watson and Bill and Irene Watson. She was predeceased by her husband William Brown and parents Helen and Alec Watson. A celebration of Marnie's Life will be held at her home today, March 9, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
