Nelia ANTONIO

ANTONIO, Nelia Teodosio
May 27, 1958 - January 1, 2013
Surrounded by the love of her husband Mike, daughter Minnella and other family members, Nelia passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Agape Hospice in Calgary. She was 54 years old. Baby will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends, especially her husband of 21 years and daughter. She was predeceased by her parents Alberto Ting and Melbita Teodosio and brother Francisco. Remembering her as an ever caring sister, aunt and niece are her siblings Ricardo (Magda), Yolanda (Rocky), Wilmer (Vangie), Henry, Imelda, Rodolfo (Grace) and Edwin (Carmencita), her nieces and nephews, and her aunts Myrna (Stan) and Adelina (Rolland). She was truly a loved one to her in-laws: parents-in-law Azucena and Quintin (2012), siblings-in-law Elizabeth and Tony, Marichu and Cesar, Eileen and Dave, Selina and Emmanuel, and Mary Ann and their families. To them, she was the listening ear, the generous host, the giver of precious gifts, the deliverer of witty remarks, the bearer of a gritty self-effacing humour reminiscent of Tondo, the fabled neighbourhood in Manila where she grew up. Our special gratitude goes to Jennifer King, Dr. Murphy and other staff of the Home Care Unit of Alberta Health Services, the staff and volunteers at Unit 47 of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and those of the Agape Hospice who provided unconditional care and support to Nelia and the family in the last stages of Nelia's life. Visitation will be on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with prayers and celebration of life starting at 6:30 pm. Eulogy and Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church (1566 Northmount Drive NW, Calgary) at 10:50 am. To honour one of Nelia's wishes, the family is setting up a "Feed the Children" fund to reach out to street children in a sharing of food and hope. Friends and family are more than welcome to contribute to this effort. To forward condolences, please visit our website: www.mountainviewmemorial.ca.
