January 5, 1926 - November 11, 2012
Olga Zazula was born in Ukraine on January 5, 1926 and came to Canada after World War II. She was a wonderful wife, mother, Baba and friend. She passed away at home peacefully, on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in the presence of her family. Olga is survived by her daughters, Irene (Duncan) and Carol (Dennis); grandchildren, Christine (Colin), Carolyn, Scott and Brendan; along with her great-grandsons, Hayden and Callum. She was predeceased by her husband John in 2008. Many thanks are extended to the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, along with Olga's in-home caregivers, Christina, Michelle, Gigi, Gloria and our angel RN's Marguerette and Dorothy, who took the journey with the family in the last few days. A Private Family Service will be held in accordance with Olga's wishes, with the Rev. Peter Babej of St. Stephen's Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church officiating. Family always came first for Olga, so to commemorate her life, put your family first in all you do. We were blessed to have her for so many years and will see her in ourselves as long as we are here. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.leydens.com. Arrangements entrusted to LEYDEN'S FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORIUM (304 - 18 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB). Telephone: 403-228-4422.
