Vesta BRECHTEL

BRECHTEL, Vesta Lucille (Prohl)
Vesta Lucille (Prohl) Brechtel born in Hammond, Indiana on September 17, 1925 passed on from Airdrie, Alberta September 23, 2012.
Her time here below came to a close,
a swift awakening, In the twinkling of a
moment, From within a peaceful glow,
Daughter beside her, daughter's daughter
singing her song:
"I come to the garden alone,
while the dew is still on the roses. . .".
Ah, how she loved her portion of
God's garden on the Little Red;
But she loved her only man and their family more, even though she learned early on
"The first hundred years are the hardest",
as her mother used to say.
She bore her earthly burden with
tenacious determination,
(It took it's toll and left it's mark -
a white robe of honor);
But what a smile she had this last year,
Those bluest of blue jewels so bright,
So very luminous,
All the way to their last closing.
Her last days she had become
A God fashioned beatitude,
Still waters running deep,
As she was being prepared both to leave,
And to arrive.
