STEWART, Violet "Vicky" Florence
May 27, 1925 - November 7, 2012
Violet Florence Stewart passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. She is survived by George, her husband of sixty-four years; her children, Gordon (Sandi) and Sharon Brown (Graham); her grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Melanie Ross (Michael), Cameron Brown (Kathy), Morgan Hartman (Greg); and her great- grandson Grayson Ross. Vicky was an avid curler. She was very proud of having scored an 8-ender. When the children were growing up she was very involved in Millican-Ogden community activities and school events. Her favourite hobby was ceramics which has resulted in numerous items for the family. A fully committed Flames and Stampeder fan, Vicky faithfully supported them over the years. She and George had Stampeder season tickets for many years. Even in her later years while concluding her over forty year battle with MS, she was known for her one liners and continued interest in winning at bingo. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff at the Sarcee Nursing Home for their care of Vicky for the past eighteen years.
