Winifred Trawick (nee Hill) of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on New Year's Day at the age of 97 years. Winifred was a kind spirit, fiercely independent, with a sharp wit and intelligence. Winifred is survived by her daughters-in-law, June, Beth, and Marg (former); along with grandchildren, Bryan (Danielle), Geoffrey (Monique), Randy, Heather, and Richard (Lyndsay). She was delighted to have met her great- grandchildren, Alice and Teddy, before she passed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lyle; sons, Ian and Aleck; as well as her siblings, Isabel, Dorothy, and Alice. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor's choice.
