MOFFAT, Harold George

Harold, beloved husband of Marlene Ethel Moffat (nee Twitchell) of Calgary, AB, passed away on October 14, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Harold graduated from Brandon College with a degree in General Sciences. After graduation Harold got a job surveying in North Central Alberta. He later upgraded his education and received a Chartered Accountant designation. While articling for his Chartered Accountant designation he worked at Allied Farm Equipment and finally ended up working for Revenue Canada. He loved curling and golfing and was a long time member of Altadore Baptist Church. Harold is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jim McPhail of Courtice, ON; son and daughter-in-law, Grant and Laurie Moffat of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Christopher and Krista McPhail of Courtice, ON, Brian and Roxanne McPhail of Courtice, ON, Stephanie Moffat and Linden Clark of Gypsumville, MB, and Bob Moffat of Calgary, AB; and his great- grandchildren, Mason and Ethan McPhail of Courtice, ON. Harold was predeceased by his father George Elmer Moffat of Elgin, MB; mother Nellie Findlay Moffat of Elgin, MB; brother, Robert Elmer Moffat of Winnipeg, MB and sister, Evelyn Louise Johnston Brandon, MB. Funeral Services will be held at Altadore Baptist Church (4304 - 16th Street S.W.) on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church.
