My mother, Pat Baird, worked for Ted in Montreal at DuPont. She spoke so glowingly of him. Sheer respect. This doesn´t exist today among employees and their executive levels. Thank you Ted for being you!

Dear Marg, It was quite a shock to see the last page of the Maclean's magazine. I know from our chats in the staff room at Northview School what a devoted husband and father he was. I am so sorry for your loss. Plese accept my sincere sympathy.

Hello Margaret
We have never met and probably never will. I am one of the countless people you and your husband have helped throughout your lives. Expecting nothing in return several years ago you awarded me a generous scholarship that has helped me along my way to achieve my goals and pursue my degree.
The kind and selfless acts you and your husband have carried out over the years are really something special. The character you've both displayed by giving back to the community and caring for others gives me something to aspire to one day. I send you my best wishes and my deepest regards.

Dear Margaret,
My sincere condolences. I had the great pleasure in working with Ted at NOVA Chemicals in a number of settings. One particular story came to mind right away that happened at the Montreal airport. When I was returning to Toronto from Montreal I met Ted at the gate for the flight to Toronto. We got to chat for almost an hour about NOVA, Canada and what was going on in the world. The time flew by. He will certainly be missed.

Margaret, There are so many memories of Ted from our cottage days together. He taught Rob how to properly barbecue a steak and played a very competitive game of tennis. I sat next to Ted on the couch in your cottage when a mouse popped up between us and we both jumped up but it was Ted who called for everyone to go get it. He was a great team player. This last summer was it possible that both Cliff and Ted were in the Tom Baker Institute at the same time? Cliff survived, so far, and is close to 90 now. Our sincere sympathy to you and your family. -Cliff and Barb Spicer (Olds, Alberta)

Please accept my condolences. I worked at both DuPont Canada and NOVA Chemicals when Ted was at the helm. He was a truly great, visionary leader who led both companies to "do the right thing" even though it seemed to be the less easy path to take at the time.
