ZOUMER, Anne (Armilda) nee PALLAS
1927 - 2012
It is with immense grief and sorrow that the family of our beloved Mother, Anne Zoumer, announces her passing early on Wednesday morning, July 25, 2012 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Rudolf Zoumer in 1996, her mother, Raissa Pallas in 2002 and her father, Georg Pallas in 1967. Mama will be forever loved by her children, Kicksen (Terry) Persson of St. Albert, AB, George Zoumer of California, and Matts Zoumer of Longview, AB, her granddaughters, Erika Persson of Edmonton, Lisa (Jody) Raczynski of Edmonton, Tara, Tiffany and Tiana Zoumer of California, her two great-granddaughters, Emerson and Brooklyn Raczynski of Edmonton. Anne will be deeply missed by her siblings, Oie (John) Richards of Vancouver, Dru (Bill) Kolodinsky of Calgary, Joe (Carolyn) Pallas of Chilliwack, BC and Andi (Liz) Pallas of Wizard Lake, AB and their families. With a strong work ethic and true loyalty, our Mother worked as an accountant for J.C. Sproule and Assoc. for 37 years until she retired at 70. She held the title of Honourary Consul of Sweden for many years and was awarded the highest Swedish Civilian Order (the Polar Star) presented to her by the King of Sweden. She enjoyed being involved with the Swedish Cultural Society and entertained family, friends and many dignitaries. Our family has truly lost a most cherished person. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Scandinavian Cultural Society of Calgary, 739 - 20 Avenue N.W., Calgary from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
