DAHL, Brent Charles
October 10, 1961 – Calgary, Alberta
February 8, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with great sadness that the family of Brent announces his passing after a brief illness. Brent is survived by his "you sure can be a pain in the ass sometimes" wife of 32 years Connie; daughter Michelle (Mark); grandkidlins that made him "mush" Kayleigh and Luke; son Jayson; parents Al and Gloria; brother Brad (Lori) and family; in-laws Louis and Katie; brother-in-law Kevin (Cecile) and family; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. Brent has worked for the City of Calgary in Water Services since 1981 - the last 13 years spent as a well respected vehicle and equipment trainer with L&ED. A Celebration of Brent's Life will be held at the Silver Springs Community Centre (5720 Silver Ridge Drive N.W.) on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Because of his love for the outdoors (especially hunting and fishing) we ask that if friends so desire, donations be made to the Alberta Wilderness Association, 455 – 12 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Y9 Telephone: (403) 283-2025, www.albertawilderness.ca. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the many doctors and nurses of the Foothills Hospital for all their kindness and compassion. In living memory of Brent Dahl, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Dear Auntie Gloria and Uncle Al. There aren't words enough to lessen the sadness of losing Brent. It has been so many years since we were kids playing army in your backyard or board games in your basement but those are some of the most indelible memories of my childhood. My deepest sympathy to you and to Conny and the family and to Brad and his family as well.

Dear Connie and family,

Unlike so many others I worked with Brent for a relatively shorter period of time but during that time I valued and depended on him as a highly respected member our our team. He had a real presence, he was the "Big Man" on our team always so willing to share his wisdom, knowledge and experience and not shy to tell me what I should do.

I also saw his passion for the outdoors and learned that he was a talented artist. Most of all I saw his immense love for his family, he was so proud of all of you and took every chance to show you all off. What an honor and privilege it was getting to know and work with Brent.

May your many happy memories bring you peace and comfort.
